Indian auto makers have unveiled a new system to control intercom systems that could reduce accidents by replacing the sound produced by the car intercom speakers.
Intercom speakers have been widely used by passengers in cars and other vehicles for decades.
However, many manufacturers, including Tata Motors, Honda, Ford and Toyota, are looking to bring them into the mainstream.
The new technology, called “Intercom Speaker”, is a combination of several audio devices that can be connected to an audio system to create a digital audio signal.
The system, which is being developed by Dharamsala-based Infineon, has already been rolled out to several other auto makers including Tata, Nissan and Jaguar.
The company, which also has its own speakers, said the new technology is designed to improve the quality of the audio and will also help reduce accidents in the future.
“The audio is the best in the world.
We are developing this to improve it in the next generation of vehicles, said Anirban Banerjee, vice-president, product management and sales, Infineons.”
The audio quality is a very important thing for safety and is important to everyone.
The next generation is about making cars more reliable.
The sound quality is the next thing to improve,” he added.
The speakers will be connected by Bluetooth-connected software to the Infineont system, said Infineonics founder and CEO Srikanth Kannan.
While the technology may sound more advanced than other intercoms currently in use, Infinions CEO Srinivas Pillay said the system will be easy to set up and is more efficient. “
This will give the car a clear signal whether the driver is talking or not,” he said.
While the technology may sound more advanced than other intercoms currently in use, Infinions CEO Srinivas Pillay said the system will be easy to set up and is more efficient.
“It will be more reliable than intercom in the long run,” he told the Reuters news agency.
“With the technology, you can create a very clear signal without the need for a speaker system,” he continued.
“We have been working on this for a long time and now we have the technology to make it easy for people to use.”
The technology is expected to cost around $1,000 and will be launched in India later this year.
