The world’s largest motorcycle intercompany system, called Ip, has now made it easier than ever for riders to be connected to the rest of the world by smartphone.
Ip was developed by the Japanese firm SoftBank and has been in use since 2011, with the first commercial implementation in 2016.
Now, Ip is expanding beyond just riding motorcycles.
In its latest iteration, which is expected to launch in 2021, it’s making it easier to connect with anyone on the planet via smartphone, via Wi-Fi, and even via a wireless headset.
The system, which has been designed to operate in Japan, was launched at the 2016 CES and is being rolled out in the U.S. as soon as the first rides are completed in 2021.
